There are 380 students in school now, 20 of them don't have parents. There are 32 classes in school with the number of children in each class ranging from 8 to 15. 250 children, including 20 orphans live in the bording school house.

Children are assigned to school by ophthalmologists, at the age of 7 years old if they have visual impairments, including cataract, Leber's optic, glaucoma etc. The diseases often combines, which complicates the situation. |
Besides many children suffer of various complicating diseases, like organic affection of the central nervous system, cardio-vascular diseases etc. 230 students are invalids of Ist and IInd groups (totally blind, or blind with residual vision, and 150 students are invalids of IIIrd group (low vision). The age of the student ranges from 7 to 19 years old.
